WORLD WAR 2 MEMORIAL PIPE BANDS IN THE NETHERLANDS
In the Netherlands, several World War 2 Memorial Pipe Bands have been founded, to honour the liberators of the Netherlands, with a special focus on the Scottish and Irish Regiments, with pipe bands. The number of the Memorial Pipe Bands that are specifically focussed on the Canadian regiments with pipe bands, and/or perform at memorial services and coöperate at the Holten Canadian Military Cemetery, the Groesbeek, and Bergen op Zoom Military Cemetery and other Remembrances, are marked with a "
" in the list shown below here, indicating also whether they play at memorial services at the Holten Canadian Military Cemetery.
The 48th Highlanders of Holland Pipes & Drums hold a separate 48th Highlanders regimental memorial service at Holten once a year.
